The Power Fund is currently awaiting its designation as a registered charity - 501(c)(3).  In the interim, tax receipts can be issued for donations - which are able to be used retroactive to the date of the donation.  Counsel advises that those receiving these donation receipts wait to claim them on their income tax returns until the Power Fund actually receives its charitable status.
